Programme Structures |
The motivation behind Children on the Move is to:
- Enhance the cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development of children with special needs
- Improve attention span and ability to follow instructions
- Provide a fun and positive environment for the children to learn and develop their full potential
- Improve the child’s self-concept and self-esteem
Programme Structures:
- Personal Programmes
- One child per movement specialist
- Group Programmes*
- Two children per movement specialist; or
- Four children per movement specialist
All programme structures include:
- Pre-evaluation of child’s movement abilities and skills by a kinesiologist
- Child’s interests and goals together with his/her educational and medical history are taken
- A minimum of a 12-session intensive programme that is uniquely designed for the child’s ability, skill and age
- Follow up home play activities
- Post-evaluation of child’s progress & recommendations
- Group programmes are subjected to the availability of suitable children for pairing
- Age range: 2.0 years and above
