Children on the Move - Testimonials

Mitchell has been with Children on the Move for 6 months.  There is definitely an improvement in his motor skills eg. balancing, sense of heights.  He is able to jump from the sofa to the floor where he has phobia previously.  He has more eye-contact and able to perform a task for 15 minutes.  There is still room for improvement.  We are looking forward to see him advance every single day.  Thanks to Dr Tan Swee Kheng.

MOTHER OF MITCHELL GOH

------------------------------------------

“Our daughter was diagnosed by an occupational therapist with bilateral coordination issue, sequencing, dyslexia and upper body muscular weakness.
We were deeply concerned especially about her possible upper body weakness because we did noticed that she would exert tremendous energy just to hold herself while sitting and after half an hour she would be exhausted and would have to lie down to rest. She was often times irritatable, unable to sit still and would have to stand and fidget constantly.  Furthermore, she was always nervous, anxious and chewed her hands constantly.

We were worried about our daughter coping with Primary one and having to sit for 6 hours!! We were also concerned about her inability to follow simple steps and no matter how hard she tried she could not get her right and left correct.

When a family friend shared with us about Dr Tan's program, we decided to send her for an assessment and eventually we signed up for the program.

Dr Tan is not only highly qualified, she is a fantastic coach, teacher and therapist.

Our daughter showed improved within a few weeks of twice a week sessions.

After almost a year, our girl is confident, assured, strong and coordinated.  She entered Primary One this year without any tears because she could sit properly, able to concentrate on her work and was confident in all her PE lessons and was even commended by her PE teacher for her ability to swing so well on the monkey bar.

Most of all Drew enjoys all different physical activities and want to try new things like sign up for swimming competitions, rock climbing and participate in the Cold Storage Run. She is a different child today.

It has been worth the investment of time and resources for our girl to be with Dr Tan.

All I can say is that Dr Tan's program works and we are so happy (and relieved) to have heard about the program and that there is help and intervention available.

Now even our son wants Dr Tan to "teach him".
